FlirtMaps is a dating application that focus on the geographic location of its members. It's easier to find a date when that person is already nearby! When you login from your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Android smartphone or even from your laptop, you can the other members who are in a radius of about 2 kilometers (about 1.25 miles) of your current location.

There are many different ways to join FlirtMaps -- directly through our mobile apps available in the Apple App Store and Android Market, on our website www.flirtmaps.com, on our mobile site m.flirtmaps.com or through our Facebook application.

FlirtMaps is a safe and trustworthy place to meet new people so offensive, vulgar and other inappropriate behavior or photos are not allowed. Illegal activity of any kind is strictly forbidden and all accounts engaging in such activities will be immediately banned.

Initial access to FlirtMaps is free and you can take advantage of the basic features without payment. For more serious online dating, the more advanced features require a subscription. There are different packages available for every budget.

In order to join you need to choose a nickname, password, your birthdate, your city, a valid email address, gender and sexual orientation. You must be 18 years or older to join FlirtMaps and accept the Terms and Conditions published on the service.

If you want to join FlirtMaps via Facebook all you need is a Facebook account! Search for "FlirtMaps”, and just click the links and follow the instructions in order to start meeting new and interesting people who are already nearby and waiting to hear from you.

You can join FlirtMaps directly on www.flirtmaps.com, but it's a bit faster and easier if you join via Facebook Connect.

In order to join FlirtMaps through Facebook, you must allow FlirtMaps access to your personal account information. This way that we can help you find better dates. You'll have to allow access to your basic information, allow the sending of messages, posting to the wall (don't worry, just "likes” and "pokes” nothing too personal!), access to your profile info and access to your photos and videos, just like nearly all Facebook applications require.

All you need to do is enter your FlirtMaps nickname and password, and we take care of the rest.

Only Facebook "Likes" and "pokes" will be posted to your wall. All of your other dating activities will be kept private and well away from your wall!

The reason could be that a different Facebook account was last opened from your browser. If you know how to clear your browser's cache do so and try again. Or just go back to Facebook, logout and then log back in. Try again. Still not working? Just send an email to support@flirtmaps.com explaining your problem, indicating what kind of computer, operating system and browser you are using.

The following features are available for friends of your Facebook friends: sending private messages to their Facebook inbox, sending FlirtMaps invites, Facebook friend requests and sending pokes. Don't worry, none of these actions will be published to your wall!

During the signup process you can decide whether to use your Facebook picture or upload another. You can change your profile picture any time you want to by going to My Profile and choose another picture from your gallery.

Go to the tab "My Profile" and then "My Photos" and click "Set as profile picture".

Sorry, once chosen your nickname cannot be changed. The only way to change your nickname is to create a new profile by signing up with a fresh account.

Of course you can! Just go to the "My Profile" section and change your search details any time you want.

Nope. Unlike many other dating sites that just disable your account, but keep your data, we actually delete everything to protect your privacy. But if you want back in, no problem, it's so easy to join that you can just signup again!

To stop receiving the newsletter and other emails from FlirtMaps, just find "Newsletter settings" in the "My Profile" section and choose your preferences.

FlirtMaps allows you to search among the other members but also among the friends of your Facebook friends. If you find people that you like among the friends of friends you can invite them to join FlirtMaps, send them a private Facebook message, invite them to be your Facebook friend or simply send them a poke.

Once you find some your like, just click on the "Invite as friend" link to send an immediate request.

In the search section you can visualize people in the map mode or in people mode. In the map mode, starting in your own city, you can see people in their approximate positions on the map. As you move around the map, you will see other FlirtMaps members in other cities or in other parts of the world! In people mode, you will simply see a list of people that match your search details. Hovering your mouse over each person, you can see the different actions that you can take with respect to that person.

Sure, in the search section just choose the "Search" tab and then "People"... then fill in the nickname field with the nickname you're interested in.

In your section "My Flirts" you will find the people you added as flirts, of course!

To add someone to your flirts, just click on the green "plus" button (+) when viewing the profile.

To remove someone from your flirts, just go to your "My Flirts" section and click on the "remove" button.

Of course! Just open any message from the offending member, click the block button under the profile picture, and confirm your choice. That's it. You'll never hear from them again.

These are the people that were online most recently, so it's more likely that you will be able to get a quicker response from them, although that's not a guarantee.

These are the people that most closely correspond to your search details as entered in your profile. You can change those at any time and this section will change to reflect your new preferences.

Just go to the Messages section to see all your messages divided into sent and received.

The only way to send unlimited messages to anybody is to become a subscriber. Women can always respond to any message even without a subscription, but men must be subscribers to send responses to women.

Since you need to be a subscriber to send messages, choose the plan that best suits your needs .

FlirtMaps sends you alerts via email and in the alerts section of the application when we have news for you relevant to your account.

There is a special section "Alerts" under the "Messages" tab where you can read all of these notifications in one place.

There are several kinds of alerts: when someone has visited your profile, when someone is online nearby, when someone joins up nearby and when someone adds you as a flirt.

If you want to know who visited your profile, you need to be a subscriber first. Then go to the Alerts tab and click "Who's seen your profile."

If you want to know who may be waiting for you just around the corner, you need to be a subscriber first. Then go to the Alerts tab and click "Who's online in your area."

If you want to get to know your neighbors who recently joined FlirtMaps, you need to be a subscriber first. Then go to the Alerts tab and click "Who just signed up in your area."

If you want to know who thinks you're hot, you need to be a subscriber first. Then go to the Alerts tab and click "Who just added you as a flirt."

If you want to read your alerts, you need to be a subscriber. It's the best way to get serious about your online dating prospects. If you're already a subscriber and still can't see your alerts, send an email to support@flirtmaps.com

If you want to respond to messages and be able to send unlimited messages, get serious about your online dating! These more advanced features require a subscription. There are different packages available for every budget. Choose the right one for you.

The FlirtBomb is an instrument of mass flirting! With just one message you can hit hundreds of people in your area. Dropping a FlirtBomb is the best way to get started because you increase your chances of reaching someone who is online and interested in your profile. All female members get one free FlirtBomb a day.

Dropping a FlirtBomb is easy. Just click on the icon (the heart with a burning fuse!) that you will find on the map view or in the search tab. Then choose how many people to bomb, write your message and ... go!

Photo galleries are simply a collection of the photos that our members upload to their profiles. Any photo can also be used as a profile picture. The more photos you have, the better. Other members get to see you in all your glory!

There is no limit as to the number of photos you can post to your profile! Upload as many as you like.

The best kind of photo to upload to your gallery are those that show the real you in different moods and different poses. Avoid photos with other people (to respect their privacy and to avoid confusion as to who you are), photos where you appear too small or too close up. And of course, vulgar, obscene or otherwise inappropriate photos are not allowed and will be removed.

Most photos before they will actually be posted to your profile will be reviewed by a moderator to make sure that it does not violate our rules against nudity, obscenity or vulgarity. We want FlirtMaps to be a place where our members feel safe.

If you want to report a photo that slipped by our reviewing process, look for the "report abuse" button near the picture itself. Click the button and the photo will be sent to our review queue to be checked.

You need to be a subscriber in order to have unlimited access to all users' photo galleries. It's worth it if you want to get serious about online dating! And you'll unlock all the other advanced features too...

The radar feature keeps you informed about the online actions of someone who interests you. You can receive messages, for instance, when that person posts a status update or uploads a new photo.

It's easy to activate the the radar feature. You will find the "Radar" button on the user's profile page or in the message window of a conversation with that user. Just click it and follow the instructions. From then on you'll be constantly informed of all new activities on that account.

The Geo Chat is like an instant messaging service, allowing you to exchange text messages in realtime with another nearby FlirtMaps member. The chat starts out in a public chat room, but if you are having a great time with someone, you can invite them to a private chat.

The Geo Chat is completely free.

FlirtCoins are simply the virtual currency that you can spend on FlirtMaps to purchase various items or services. You can buy FlirtCoins or earn them by visiting FlirtMaps often. You can see how many coins you have at any time just by visiting your profile page.

Spend your FlirtCoins to buy yourself extra exposure by becoming a FlirtStar, buy and send a bunch of virtual gifts or you can spend them on a FlirtBomb, sending a message to hundreds of nearby members with just one click.

It's easy to buy FlirtCoins, just click on the coin icon next to your profile picture. Follow the instructions, choose how many coins to buy and proceed to the checkout.

There are different packets of FlirtCoins that you can buy using PayPal, your credit or debit card and even, for you Facebook users, with Facebook Credits. iPhone users can benefit from the "in app" purchase feature allowing instant one-click buying. Android app purchases can be made through Visa or Mastercard.

If you go to the mobile site, you will be able to buy the FlirtCoins package that suits you: 100 FlirtCoins for € 1.99, 200 FlilrtCoins for € 2.99 or 500 FlirtCoins € 6.99.

There are different "packs" of FlirtCoins for sale. On the web you can buy them with your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or with PayPal. If you access the service on your iPhone, you can buy them by way of an in app purchase through your iTunes™ account. If you are using the Android app, you can pay for the FlirtCoins with your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or by Google Checkout.

You can also earn FlirtCoins by simply logging in regularly. You earn FlirtCoins when you register and 5 more coins for you first login of each day. Women who are search for men also can earn FlirtCoins by sending a message to a man or responding to a message from a man.

Members who choose not to purchase a subscription can still see the profiles of other members (but not their photo galleries), can send messages (but not respond to them) and can search for people on the map views.

If you access the service on your iPhone, you can subscribe by way of an in app purchase through your iTunes™ account. If you are using the Android app, you can pay for the FlirtCoins with your credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or by Google Checkout.

You can also use Facebook Credits only if you have signed up to FlirtMaps through your Facebook account. The prices range from 60 Facebook Credits for a 1-month subscription plus 1000 FlirtCoins, 120 Facebook Credits for a 3-month subscription plus 3000 FlirtCoins to 240 Facebook Credits for a 6-month subscription plus 5000 FlirtCoins.

If you go to the mobile site, you will be able to buy the subscription (FlirtPass) that suits you: 1 day for € 0.99, 1 week for € 2.99 or 1 month for € 7.99.

All you need to do in order to stop your subscription is to send an email to info@flirtmaps.com, with your account details.

If you forgot your password, click on the "Forgot password?" link next to the login fields. You will then have to fill in the email address of your FlirtMaps account so that we can securely email your password to you.

If you want to change your password, all you need to do is enter the "My Profile" section and enter your new password in the appropriate fields. Save the changes and that's it.

Don't worry. Your precise position is never revealed to other users! FlirtMaps uses a system of geo-location that randomly places you and other members in a radius of 2 kilometers (1.25 miles ) of your actual position in order to protect the privacy and safety of all members.

FlirtMaps is 100% safe. You reveal only your nickname and photos. Your email and exact position are never revealed to other users. Be careful and do not give out personal information until you are confident that the other member is trustworthy. Use common sense!
